EVERETT — Two Gold Bar residents died in a two-vehicle collision at Stevens Pass that closed the eastbound lanes for around five hours Sunday afternoon.

Around 1:03 p.m. Sunday, troopers responded to reports of a crash on eastbound U.S. 2 near milepost 64, according to a Washington State Patrol press release. A 2018 Subaru Crosstrek was traveling west in the second lane when it lost control and crossed into the eastbound lane, troopers said. The Subaru was struck by a 2002 Ford F-150 traveling east in the first lane before both vehicles came to rest on the eastbound shoulder, according to the press release.
