Murfreesboro government notified Middle Point Landfill about more solid waste environmental violations, the city reported Oct. 27.

The violations include leachate entering dry run-off ditches, according to the city.

"The Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation issued the most recent violation due to leachate entering dry run-off ditches on the east and west sides of the landfill property," Murfreesboro government spokesman Mike Browning said in a news release.
