TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The City of Tucson confirmed one of its vehicles hit the Interstate 10 eastbound bridge at South Craycroft Road in Tucson on Monday, Oct. 27.

In a statement, the City said a vehicle " was involved in an incident that caused damage to the right shoulder concrete girder of the I-10 (eastbound) & Craycroft Bridge. The Arizona Department of Transportation immediately inspected the damage and determined the bridge remains safe for travel. The eastbound I-10 right shoulder has been closed until repair work can be completed."

The City said an investigation is underway to determine what caused the truck’s boom to be in the upright service position while the vehicle was moving.

The investigation is expected to take several days.
