TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Marana Police Department has new information about a deadly crash between a bicyclist and a cement truck.
The Marana Police Department said Edwin Alexander, 53, died in an accident near Twin Peaks and Camino De Manana around 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 29.
The MPD said Alexander and the cement truck were heading north on Twin Peaks at Camino De Manana, and both had a red light.
Once the light turned green, both accelerated, and that’s when the truck and Alexander collided just north of the intersection.
The driver of the cement truck remained on-scene, and the investigation is ongoing. As of Thursday afternoon, no citations or arrests have been made.
