The Dallas Mavericks were filled with excitement following their acquisition of Cooper Flagg. The rookie forward entered the league with massive expectations. However, his debut began with a missed alley-oop attempt that could have been an electric start to his NBA career.

Despite the hype surrounding Flagg, the Mavericks have yet to find consistency early in the season. On Monday, the Mavericks saw a 101-94 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder at the American Airlines Center.

However, Flagg appeared to be playing through discomfort. ESPN’s Tim MacMahon reported that the rookie had a large wrap on his left shoulder while sitting on the bench throughout the game. He added that Flagg appeared to take a hit on it during his first possession.
