WARSAW – Even as Warsaw racked up win after win last season, there were observers around the state who weren't convinced that the Tigers were one of Indiana's top teams.
Although Warsaw went 21-1 during the regular season, the Tigers did not have a single Indianapolis-area team on their schedule, and they went 1-1 against teams that entered the postseason ranked in the top 10 of Class 4A, losing to Homestead but beating Northridge.
But as the 2025-26 season tips off, no one will make the mistake of underestimating the Tigers. In the state tournament, they beat Northridge a second time to win a sectional title, knocked out perennial power South Bend Washington in the regional championship and upset Hamilton Southeastern – previously undefeated and the top team in the state – in the semist
