MARION COUNTY, Ore. (KPTV) - A 26-year-old man from Keizer was killed in a four-car crash in Marion County on Sunday afternoon, according to Oregon State Police.
OSP says officers responded to a crash just after 2:30 p.m. on Sunday where Didier Lair Fuentes, 26, attempted to merge onto OR-214 southbound while taking a hard left in a pickup truck.
A semi truck and trailer then collided with the side of the pickup, causing the semi to jackknife across the interstate toward the median.
A Jeep Grand Cherokee was hit and dragged by the semi into the median, and a Toyota Matrix driven by Ashley Peugh, 34, narrowly missed the other cars involved but was hit by crash debris.
Fuentes was declared dead at after being taken to the hospital, while Peugh reportedly suffered minor injuries.
