OMAHA, Neb. —

The man accused of robbing and assaulting a staff member at Methodist Hospital faces a new charge after an alleged assault in jail.

On Sunday, a corrections officer reported Dial refused to go inside his assigned cell at the Douglas County jail, according to an arrest affidavit. Dial was arrested earlier this month for an alleged assault at a parking garage near 83rd and Dodge streets.

The affidavit states that Dial refused to comply with staff instructions and had to be taken to the ground. The document says Dial continued to resist while staff were trying to put him into restraints.
