And not least as only an hour or so earlier than the news broke that Brendan Rodgers had walked away from Celtic for a second time , he was still going about his business as if nothing at all had changed. ‌

Rodgers was still exchanging text messages and giving absolutely no indication that he was writing a letter of resignation at the same time. ‌

So yes, it did feel like a bomb had gone off when Celtic announced that he had left the club with immediate effect and that his replacements had already been lined up and secured.
