COLUMBUS, Ind. – The Eastern Bartholomew Water Corporation (EBWC) says a Boil Water Advisory is in effect for a portion of southeastern Bartholomew County due to another utility company hitting an EBWC water line.
The incident on Monday morning caused a water outage near U.S. 31 South, at the junction of E. County Road 100S and S. County Road 300E.
After assessing the situation and restoring the water, EBWC issued the Boil Water Advisory for the area through Wednesday, October 29, at 4 p.m. Water used for drinking or cooking purposes should be boiled for at least five minutes and then cooled before consumption.
