Caesars Windsor has donated more than $65,000 to local United Way programs that lift struggling children out of poverty by helping them get an education.
“The United Way works hard to look at community data, identify our greatest needs in our community and to really target our resources where they’re needed the most,” said Lorraine Goddard, CEO of United Way Windsor-Essex Chatham-Kent.
“We are only able to do it because of the support of the community and our partners like Caesars Windsor.”
Caesars Windsor president Kevin Laforet made the cheque presentation on Monday during an event at the Sandwich Teen Action Group.
The $65,496 cheque came from the combination of a $25,000 corporate donation and $40,496 worth of employee contributions.
