A 38-storey apartment tower is proposed to be built on a parking lot on the eastern edge of downtown London.
A local developer is pitching a 422-unit building with ground-level commercial space, 416 parking spaces – including 58 underground – and 392 bicycle parking spots at the southeast corner of York and Colborne streets. The site was long used as a parking lot.
The proposal comes from BSN London in collaboration with Siv-ik Planning and Design. The property borders the CN railway tracks to the south and the Men’s Mission to the immediate east.
“Overall, it’s just continued confidence in the development of downtown London, seeing this type of investment being brought forward,” said Michael Davis, a partner at Siv-ik.
Davis said the application reflects the city’s investment in sewer
