Glencore continues to investigate the source and composition of dust that settled over the town of Falconbridge earlier this week, but it has resumed operations, staff said on Friday.
Yonaniko Grenon, a spokesperson for Glencore, confirmed the company was operational as of Friday afternoon, after it “curtailed operations” for about a day after a second dust leak in a bit more than a month.

Glencore and Public Health Sudbury and Districts announced Thursday they were investigating new complaints of fallout from the Glencore smelter in Falconbridge.
Public Health said they were informed Thursday at about 11 a.m. “of a dust event in the residential area of Falconbridge.”
The agency said in a statement on Thursday that the investigation was ongoing.
