NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A Wisconsin mother who traveled to New Orleans for a concert was struck dead on the Twin Span hours before her 27th birthday.
Edashia Caraway died from blunt force trauma in a hit-and-run crash that the St. Tammany Parish coroner ruled a homicide.
“Our office was called about 2:30 a.m. on the 21st, and they basically said state police had found the body that had been run over or hit,” said St. Tammany Parish Coroner Christopher Tape.
Caraway’s family paid for her to travel to New Orleans for rapper NBA YoungBoy’s concert last week, according to Tape. The victim’s sister, September Caraway, said she traveled to Louisiana alone after the rapper’s Chicago concert was canceled.
