Dallas Mavericks rookie forward Cooper Flagg injured his shoulder on Monday night in a 101-94 home loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder, but he's optimistic he'll play on Wednesday.
Flagg's injury came early in the loss. Flagg watched crunch time from the bench, per a decision from Mavericks coach Jason Kidd, per ESPN's Tim MacMahon. MacMahon reported that Flagg "wore a large wrap with heat on his left shoulder" on the bench during the game and "received treatment and iced it postgame."
Flagg also said he's optimistic he'll be available for Wednesday's home stand against the winless Indiana Pacers.
"We're going to probably get some scans or whatever, make sure everything's all clean, but I feel like it's just a little sore," Flagg said of his injury, per MacMahon. "Just want to keep an eye on it, ice it, do some rehab and should be good to go."
We'll see if anything changes with Flagg's shoulder ailment, but it sounds like he'll be good to play on Wednesday.
