October marks Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month.

One in every four pregnancies ends in a miscarriage; one in every 160 pregnancies ends in stillbirth.

Alex Jacobson's twin boys were born prematurely. They died five days after coming into this world.

Jacobson joined ABC7 to talk about the work that's being done in Chicago to prevent this from happening again.

She is now the Friends of Prentice board president, a non-profit organization that works with Northwestern Medicine Prentice Women's Hospital to support women and families after a perinatal death.
