KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — As Hurricane Melissa makes landfall in Jamaica, two One Knoxville Sporting Club players from the island country spoke about their concerns. The hurricane is considered extremely dangerous with 185 mile-per-hour winds and "life-threatening conditions," according to the National Hurricane Center.

Defenders Scott McLeod, 22, and Jaheim Brown, 24, joined the soccer team for the 2025 season. They said they had received a lot of support and love from their coaches and teammates.

"It's kind of mixed emotions where you're here and you don't know what's going on back home, but you try to communicate with your loved ones, and people have to figure out whether they're okay or not," said McLeod.
