SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) - Just over a year after a deadly shooting in Sun Prairie, the city’s police chief announced officers have arrested a suspect.

Police Chief Kevin Warych said SPPD and the Dane County Sheriff’s Office Tactical Response Team took Zachary O’Connell into custody in the Town of Bristol.

Officials booked the 22-year-old into the Dane County Jail on potential charges of first-degree intentional homicide and two counts of first-degree recklessly endangering safety.

Warych explained tips and digital evidence led to O’Connell’s arrest.
