Rece Davis highlights Arkadelphia’s Battle of the Ravine for possible College Gameday stop

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. – Arkansas’s oldest football rivalry may get some attention from ESPN’s College GameDay.

In an interview with Nexstar’s WKRN, College GameDay host Rece Davis said he is planning to pitch a visit to Henderson State University vs. Ouachita Baptist University for College GameDay.

“This is probably going to get me in trouble, but I'm pitching Battle of the Ravine in a few weeks, depending on what else happens,” Davis said.

According to the Encyclopedia of Arkansas, the Battle of the Ravine has been played since 1895, with the Tigers leading the Reddies 47-44-6 in the series.

The matchup is a notoriously short trip for the traveling team. Instead of a bus trip or flight, the v
