KILLEEN, Texas — After a lengthy planning process, the Killeen ISD Board of Trustees has officially approved the district's new optimization recommendations .

On Tuesday, Oct. 28, the KISD Board approved a series of district optimization recommendations they say are designed to "ensure long-term efficiency, strengthen student programs and steward taxpayer resources responsibly."

The approval comes after months of study, stakeholder meetings and community input on how best to utilize district facilities, staff and programs.
