MARSHFIELD − The city of Marshfield is launching a new website domain, cityofmarshfieldwi.gov , on Oct. 29.
The change aims to enhance security, improve accessibility and ensure residents can easily identify legitimate communications from the city, according to a community announcement.
The ".gov" designation is reserved exclusively for verified government entities, providing an added layer of trust and authenticity.
“Our goal is to make it easier and safer for residents to connect with City services online,” said Communications Director Tom Loucks. “Moving to a .gov domain reinforces our commitment to transparency, cybersecurity, and modern digital communication.”
