JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — Outback Steakhouse has permanently closed its Jacksonville Beach restaurant, the location's Facebook page states .
The Australian-inspired restaurant chain's Jax Beach location at 3760 South 3rd St. has closed. At this time, it is unknown the reason for the closure.
In February 2024, the parent company of Outback Steakhouse, Bloomin' Brands, announced the closure of dozens of "underperforming" locations across the country.
The company announced the closure of 41 restaurants, "mostly" Outback Steakhouse locations, along with a handful of others , including Carrabba's Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Wine Bar.
