Dani Dyer has revealed that she privately suffered a miscarriage before falling pregnant with her eldest child Santiago. The Love Island star, who has three children, has revealed that she suffered a "very early miscarriage" before she and her ex Sammy Kimmence welcomed their first child Santiago in January 2021. During an appearance on Jamie Laing's Great Company podcast, Dani, 29, admitted the devastating experience made her anxious during her pregnancy with Santiago. "It was a very early miscarriage," she candidly shared. "When I got pregnant again, I don't know how many scans I had. I was literally knocking at the door like, 'Can you check again? Can you check again?' "And they were like, 'Dani, come on'. I just thought I needed to see him one more time." The reality TV star admitted that although Santiago "wasn't planned", she had stopped being "careful" after the miscarriage because she wanted to be a mum. "I wanted a baby then 'cause that didn't work out," she said. "So I was like, this month I'm not going to be careful." Dani and Sammy split up in July that year, several months after Santiago's birth, after he was sentenced to three-and-a-half years in prison for defrauding pensioners. The TV star confessed to Jamie that she "shouldn't have gone back" to Sammy in 2019 after splitting from her Love Island partner Jack Fincham. However, she has no regrets about the relationship because of their son. "I think I had to go through a tricky relationship to get my little boy and to change me as a person, to get to where I am now," she stated. Dani began dating West Ham footballer Jarrod Bowen in 2021 and they welcomed twin daughters, Star and Summer, in May 2023. The couple tied the knot in May this year.
