DULUTH, Minn. (Northern News Now) - The AMSOIL Arena is set to become an international stage of hockey in December.

The DECC announced on Tuesday that they will host three exhibition games for the 2026 International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) World Juniors Hockey Pre-Tournament series.

These games will feature players under 20 years old from Team USA, Finland and Germany.

Haley Hedstrom, Executive Director of Visit Duluth, said this tournament could benefit Duluth economically from visitors staying at hotels, going to restaurants and shopping at local businesses.

“This event will bring people from across the region and beyond to Duluth,” Hedstrom said. “It’s also a way to showcase our city to a great amount of people, our hospitality and out passion for the hockey industry.”
