DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — An 11-year-old was taken to the hospital after they were shot while inside a house in DeKalb County Tuesday night, according to police.

Officers were called to a shooting in the 2200 block of Hightrail Court at around 11:39 p.m. on Oct. 28.

Once on scene, officers said they found a house that had been shot into multiple times and a child inside who had been hit by gunfire. Police said the injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

At this time, a suspect has not been arrested, and the police department is still investigating the incident.
