With the government shutdown lasting nearly a month, many families are now worried about how to put food on the table.

SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) benefits are expected to run out soon, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture has said it does not have the funds to issue the next round of benefits scheduled for Saturday, November 1.

Across the country, about 42 million people depend on SNAP each month, including 2 million in Pennsylvania, 800,000 in New Jersey, and 100,000 in Delaware.
