A 23-year-old Guelph man has been charged for “harassing behaviour” towards his landlords, police said.
Guelph police said on Tuesday, a couple reported their tenant to police, saying since he moved into the basement of their west-end home in July they have made 28 calls to police.
In those calls, police said, the landlords reported noise complaints, harassing neighbours, activating fire alarms in the middle of the night, and leaving his dog unattended for days, causing foul odours to fill the house.
The man was charged with mischief interfering with the lawful enjoyment of property.
He will appear in court Dec. 19.
