A teenager was arrested after being found with a quantity of Class A drugs in Coventry . Police swooped on the youngster yesterday (October 28).

Officers stopped and searched the 14-year-old on Walsgrave Road . Around 25 wraps of suspected crack cocaine were recovered.

Cops arrested the 14-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons. He was taken in for questioning and subsequently bailed.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: “Officers in Coventry have recovered a sizeable amount of Class A drugs in the city. Drug dealing and drug usage are a blight on the community, and our North East neighbourhood team is continuing its work to tackle the issue.
