DOOR COUNTY, Wis. (WBAY) - In the wake of the devastating impact of Hurricane Melissa on Jamaica, the Door County Candle Co. is launching a new candle to raise funds for relief.
The company said 100% of profits go directly toward local recovery and rebuilding efforts.
This is part of the company’s Candles Creating Change program. Door County Candle has created multiple candles intended to raise funds for areas affected by war or natural disaster.
Since raising over $1 million for Ukraine aid, Door County Candle Co. has raised money for victims of California and Hawaii wildfires, hurricanes Ian and Helene, and the earthquake in Syria and Turkey.
The Hurricane Melissa Relief Candle is selling for $29.95 and has a “tropical passionfruit” scent.
