GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - The 37th annual Give-a-Kid-a-Book campaign kicked off Wednesday in Green Bay.

This year’s initiative was launched by the Friends of the Brown County Library and honorary literacy ambassador Breanne LaFleur, the wife of the Packers head coach.

Their focus is on collecting and distributing new books to low-income children during the holidays.

“To see the community come together like this to support low-income families, to give them the same opportunities as anybody else... it’s near and dear to my heart, and something that I would always support as long as we’re here,” LaFleur said.

There are many ways to give. You can buy new books and donate them at collection boxes through Dec. 10.
