'Multiple fires' in apartment building under investigation

LYNN, Mass. —

Investigators are working inside a Lynn apartment building after a series of small fires inside overnight.

Video from inside the building, located at 78 Central Avenue, shows burn marks in the top-floor hallway and along the stairs.

"We found multiple fires within the building, so we have investigators over there, you know, going through the building," Lynn Fire Department Chief Dan Sullican said.

Residents were forced to evacuate, but no injuries were reported in connection with the fires.

Fire officials consider the incident "suspicious in nature."
