Trick-or-treaters can leave the snowsuits in the closet this year, but they will want to bundle up. Environment and Climate Change Canada is forecasting a cool but dry evening for Halloween on Friday.

"I believe they won't have to," said James Colangelo, a meteorologist with Environment Canada, about needing snowsuits. "The kids probably just need to layer up for Friday, and they should be good to go."

A high of 4° is expected on Friday, with an overnight low forecast to dip to -4°.

While Friday is expected to be dry, a small low-pressure system is set to move through southern Saskatchewan this evening and overnight into Thursday. Colangelo said this system will bring rain, not snow, as temperatures will be warmer ahead of its arrival.
