On Nov. 8, Barris will mark the 85th anniversary of the battle with a presentation on the Canadian flyers who helped defend England during 113 harrowing days in 1940, during the Second World War, a museum news release announced. Article content

Canadians, some from well-known families and others fresh from the farm, served in 47 squadrons with 20 pilots lost in action and 12 receiving the Distinguished Flying Cross for their courage, the release said.
