KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- A Johnson County, Missouri, man was sentenced to prison earlier this week after pleading guilty in a 2023 double homicide case.
Jonathan Goodwin Jr., 22, of Centerview, pleaded guilty to amended charges of voluntary manslaughter and second-degree murder in the shooting deaths of 24-year-old Alexis Rietbrock and 40-year-old Kevin Totty.
Goodwin also pleaded guilty to two counts of armed criminal action, according to online court records.
After pleading guilty Monday in Johnson County Circuit Court, the court ordered Goodwin to serve 35 years in the Missouri Department of Corrections.
