KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Kansas City joins the bid for the 2031 Men's Rugby World Cup games.
World Rugby announced on Friday, 27 cities and areas have officially entered the applicant phase.
These games will be the first-ever Rugby World Cup games hosted in the U.S.
World Rugby will start to evaluate potential host cities very soon. The next step is the candidate phase.
The other applicants include: Arizona, Atlanta, Baltimore, Birmingham, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles Region, Miami, Minneapolis, Nashville, New Orleans, New York/New Jersey, Orlando, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Seattle, St. Louis, Vancouver, and Washington D.C.
