GREEN BAY, Wis. (WBAY) - Keep Halloween “spook-tactular” without giving your family a fright.

The First Alert Safety Desk reminds you to think safety as well as fun, especially if you have any little boils or ghouls or will be out trick-or-treating Friday.

In order to have a safe and spooky evening, make sure you and your group stay visible. Add reflective tape or glow sticks to costumes. Carry flashlights so drivers can see you and your kids.

Trick-or-treating in groups is a good idea, especially for older kids who are doing it on their own this year.

Talk to children about not going inside a stranger’s house.

Choose safe routes. Use sidewalks and stay in well-lit areas.
