EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) — Nearly 50 large concrete beams will be delivered and set in November for a new bridge as part of Section 3 of the I-69 Ohio River Crossing in Evansville.
The beams, ranging from 134 to 163 feet in length, will be transported from Decatur. Four beams are expected to be delivered daily from Monday, Nov. 3, through Friday, Nov. 21.
Two short-term rolling closures on U.S. 41, lasting five to 10 minutes, are expected to facilitate safe delivery. These closures will occur between 1 and 4 p.m. as trucks make a left turn onto Waterworks Road.
Message boards along U.S. 41 will keep drivers informed about these closures. The schedule may change due to weather.
