Rumors are running rampant on TikTok that Walmart will "lock their doors" on Nov. 1, and the internet doesn't know what to believe.

The rumors, which can be traced back to two TikTok videos that amassed a combined 1.7 million-plus views as of Oct. 28, claim the retail giant will close its doors to its stores on Nov. 1 due to SNAP benefit cuts amid the government shutdown, according to USA TODAY.
