KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — Anderson County Mayor Terry Frank and State Representative Ed Butler honored JROTC cadets from across Anderson County, complete with a rifle drill performed by ORHS NJROTC Cadet Michael Finstead.
Lieutenant Governor Randy McNally was also in attendance along with representatives from Congressman Chuck Fleischmann and U.S. Senator Bill Haggerty's respective offices.
Finstead, a high school junior says, "When I practice my rifle drill, it is usually after school, depending on if I have work or not, but usually it's from 3:00 to about like either 5:30 or 6. So I practice a lot."
Finstead has only been performing the rifle drill for the last nine months. He told WATE the only time he doesn't practice after school is when he has work, "I make pizza," said Finstead.
