LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A transitional housing project that was left in limbo is getting a second chance in Shepherdsville.
On Monday night, the Shepherdsville City Council changed its earlier vote that blocked Mark 12 Ministries' zoning request for Grace Village .
The project would build six tiny homes on 6 acres along Old Preston Highway for people rebuilding their lives after homelessness or rehab. Plans also include a community building with classrooms, bathrooms and space for counseling services.
Mark 12 Ministries said on Facebook the ordinance rejecting its zoning request was withdrawn, allowing the process to move forward. The council's reversal came just weeks after members voted 3-2 to reject the project — a decision that drew frustration from the nonprofit.
