Mobile County Sheriff Paul Burch announced Wednesday he is “far from being finished” and will seek re-election in 2026.

The Republican lawman, who took office as Mobile County’s top cop in 2022 after longtime sheriff Sam Cochran declined to run again, wrote in a Facebook post many people haved asked him if he will seek a second term.
