Anthony Albanese is well and truly in Donald Trump ’s good books, after sitting on the US president’s right during dinner in South Korea on Wednesday night, as the APEC (Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation) summit got underway.

The meal was shared between world leaders at the Hilton Hotel in Gyeongju, which included the presidents of South Korea and the USA, and the prime ministers of Australia, New Zealand and Canada.

Leaders enjoyed Trump-branded wine and premium South Korean steak.

A big sign on the wall read, “Special Dinner in honour of President Donald J. Trump”.

During the meeting Trump took the microphone and discussed trade deals he had recently signed with South Korea, Japan and Australia.
