FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A Fort Wayne organization is providing an alternative for Halloween trash.
Eco Fest is encouraging community members to recycle their candy wrappers through its Candy Wrapper Recycling program.
The organization says the program is part of its efforts to ‘make Halloween more green’.
To participate in the program, community members are simply asked to visit one of the following drop-off locations:
October 30
Lutheran Downtown Hospital during Lutheran Hospital’s ‘Trunk or Treat’
Time: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
October 31
The Spencer Residence
Time: 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
November 7
Trinity English Lutheran Church during ‘Compost Festival’
Time: 5 to 7 p.m.
Note: Community members are welcome to bring punpkins to compost as well.
Now through November 7
