San Diego State starting wide receiver Jacob Bostick will miss the remainder of the year after undergoing season-ending surgery this week to repair a knee injury.

Bostick suffered a non-contact injury last week in practice. He had surgery on Tuesday. Though there was no ligament damage, healing will require more than the month remaining in the regular season. Bostick should be fully recovered for spring practice.

The junior from Palatine, Ill., transferred to SDSU in the spring after a year at Texas A&M and two years at Iowa.

He is SDSU’s third-leading receiver in catches (11) and yardage (157) and has a team-high three receiving touchdowns. Bostick made an immediate impact for the Aztecs, scoring a touchdown in the season opener against Stony Brook and another the following week at Was
