A Bay Area immigrant rights group on Wednesday was celebrating what they called a win.

One of six people detained by federal agents at an Oakland home in August is set to be released from a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention facility in Washington state.

The 21-year-old man referred to by family and legal representatives as Hector has developmental disabilities.

“I really worried because we don’t know if they are caring for him well, with food, his environment,” Hector’s cousin said.

The cousin, who did not want to be identified due to fears about his own immigration status, said the news of Hector’s release is what the family has been hoping for.

“It feels good because the family is going to be complete,” the cousin said.
