MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A beloved community tradition is entering its 29th year in Madison, but needs more volunteers to make the holiday magic happen.
Trees on University Avenue are expected to light up this holiday season, but organizers Dr. Chris Kammer and the Kammer Family Foundation are asking for volunteers and families to lend a helping hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.
Organizers say family and friends are welcome to join the at least 50 volunteers needed to help string the lights.
They say coffee and donuts will be provided. Even a DJ will be there playing music to get everyone in the holiday spirit.
Volunteers will meet at University Avenue along 2719 Marshall Court and University Bay Drive (along the train tracks). Eye protection and gloves are suggested.
