If you’ve been on Threads recently, you’ve seen them.
Posts framed with dotted lines that look like you can cut them out — if you were in kindergarten.
Enter “ ghost posts .”
The new feature, introduced by Meta the week of Halloween, has posts disappear after 24 hours.
Ghosts posts are accessible by toggling the ghost icon on the Threads app (at the bottom when you go to create a new post, next to the “post” button — circled in the image below).
The company says they allow people to “share unfiltered thoughts and fresh takes without the pressure of permanence or polish."
“Here today and gone tomorrow, you can feel confident trying new things and posting spontaneous thoughts ,” Meta says.
