LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Residents at Crossing at South Park apartments say mold has returned to their units despite property owners declaring the issue resolved in late September.

Cierra Epps, who is pregnant, has been packing to leave her apartment for weeks after discovering mold growing out of an electrical outlet behind her and her partner's bed.

"I went to go find his wallet. He dropped it. And there was the mold," Epps said.

A Louisville codes inspector identified a "mold, mildew like substance" in a violation letter dated Oct. 6 — one week after the city's Codes and Regulations Department declared the apartment building mold-free.
