Toronto Blue Jays rookie Trey Yesavage admitted ahead of the start of the World Series that it was a “little tough” to sleep because “his mind was just racing.”

However, the Pennsylvania native showed no signs of nerves Wednesday night.

Yesavage was brilliant for the Blue Jays in Game 5 of the World Series, striking out 12 batters and allowing only one run in a 6-1 victory. The 12 strikeouts is the most ever for a rookie in a World Series game.

Now the Blue Jays head back to Toronto holding a 3-2 series lead and needing to win one of the next two games to capture the World Series title.
