At 1:08 p.m. on Thursday, the National Weather Service released a wind advisory valid from Friday 11 a.m. until Saturday 5 a.m. for Niagara, Orleans, Monroe, Wayne, Cayuga, Oswego, Erie, Genesee, Wyoming, Livingston, Ontario, Chautauqua, Cattaraugus and Allegany counties.

The weather service describes, "West to northwest 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph expected."

"Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects, including Halloween decorations. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result," explains the weather service. "Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects."
